SONiVOX Releases DVI 2.0 With Free Trial of 59 Downloadable Virtual Instruments

Film Music Magazine • April 16, 2009

SONiVOX has released the latest version of their downloadable virtual instrument plugins. These plugins, branded as DVI 2.0 which stands for Downloadable Virtual Instruments, give musicians and composers instant access to a large collection of sample based virtual instruments for MAC and PC.

DVI 2.0 adds features in addition to offering deeper control over SONiVOX’s next generation of in-house developed synthesis engine technology. It also includes additional DSP / Special FX by renowned signal processing pioneers and manufacturer iZotope.

As a part of the rollout SONiVOX is offering a free trial program allowing composers and musicians to try these downloadable virtual instruments before they purchase them. “The success of DVI 1 affirmed our continued development to the DVI platform. In these unsure times, users have embraced value priced instruments. This coupled with the ability to try DVI instruments before they have to make a purchasing decision, make DVI extra relevant for the times. Our DVI’s are instantly accessible, great sounding, inexpensive and now offer even more flexibility than before,” commented Al Joelson, SONiVOX Director of Sales, Marketing, & Business Development.

There are currently 59 DVIs available for instant download and free trial including orchestral instruments, vintage keyboards, ethnic tonal & percussion instruments, electronic instruments, guitars, basses, and more, priced starting at $19.95. More releases are planned.

Registered DVI 1.0 users may upgrade to DVI 2.0 versions free of charge.
