Music production company MusicBox, which provides a music catalog with over 10,000 cuts as well as original composition and scoring, has named Jonathan Firstenberg as Senior Vice President, a newly created position.

Joel Goodman, Co-Founder/President, MusicBox, said, “What I like best about Jonathan is his diverse background, beginning as a composer and producer of quality music. Adding those credits to his work as a music supervisor and music publishing executive has given Jonathan the unique ability to see the business from many perspectives. His success at designing and expanding catalogs while employed at Universal Music Group, BMG and Zomba, attests to his significant talents. We’re extremely proud to have him on board.”

Three-time Emmy Award winner Firstenberg prior to joining MusicBox was Vice President, Business Development and Creative Director, with Universal Music Group, where he created the Universal Music Publishing Library (UMPL). Tapping the talents of artists signed to the Universal Music Publishing roster, he developed an artist-driven catalog and forged inter-division licensing, distribution and new business opportunities across Vivendi-owned companies including Universal Music Publishing Group, Activision/Blizzard, Vivendi Entertainment, Vivendi Games, Ingrooves, Universal Music Enterprises and Universal Music Group Distribution.
