Access Film-Music Presents Live Music During Utah Film Festival Week in Jan.

Film Music Magazine • November 30, 2009

Over fifty exceptionally talented songwriters, bands and recording artists will perform as part of the 2010 Access Film-Music Showcase (http://www.AccessFilmMusic.net), presenting an unprecedented 200 hours of live music throughout Utah’s famed Film Festival Week.

For 12 days, from January 20 – 31, diverse musical talent from around the world will present their music to the film industry at multiple venues in Park City and at a “Sneak Peek” concert in Salt Lake City.

This winter marks the seventh consecutive year that Access Film-Music has provided an opportunity for independent musicians to expose their music to the film community. Music and film are inseparable; the mission of Access Film-Music is to connect Music-Makers with Film-Makers.

Venues for the 2010 Access Film-Music Showcase are centrally located amid the chaos of Film Festival Week, just steps away from the Egyptian Theater on Park City’s Historic Main Street. These intimate venues offer film-festivarians a comfortable spot to relax between films, hold informal meetings, or just hang out and listen to great live music.

As in previous years, Park City showcase performances will be presented at The Spur Bar & Grill (352 Main Street) and Wasatch Brew Pub (250 Main Street). For 2010, Access Film-Music Showcase has expanded into a third venue located at the bottom of Main Street, J.B. Mulligan’s (804 Main Street). Showcased music will span the spectrum, including Singer-Songwriters, Rock, Pop, Americana, Country, Blues, Folk, Irish, Soul, Ukelele, Reggae, French, Experimental — some artists combine several genres into their performances! While some music venues in Park City during Film Festival Week operated by ASCAP and others require official festival credentials, Access Film-Music events are open to the public and no credentials required. There will be no cover charge for most 2010 Access Film-Music Showcase performances.

Once again, complimentary sampler compilations featuring music by Access artists will be delivered to festival credential holders and members of the film, television and videogame industries on CD and online. New for 2010, film industry VIPs will also receive music samplers on Access-branded USB flash drives.

Access Film-Music Showcase is a production of Access Film Music Ltd., a subsidiary of Big Ugly Corporation, an entertainment company based in Libertyville, Illinois dedicated to innovating the new music business. Full performance schedules, directions to showcase venues, links to artists’ music and their websites are available online at AccessFilmMusic.net.
