Kyd, Goddard, Woods Win Elan Awards

Jesper Kyd’s original score for Assassin’s Creed (Ubisoft) was awarded “Best Original Musical Score in a Video Game” in the Electronic arts category at the 2nd Annual Elan Awards, the Canadian Awards for the Electronic and the Animated Arts. The awards show was hosted by Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy,” “American Dad”) at the Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts on February 15th.

Also winning Elan awards for music were Adan Goddard in the Animation category for his score to Bruno and the Bannana Bunch and Doug Woods in the student category for Le Building.

Kyd’s win at the Elans follows a series of nomination for his Assassin’s Creed score including a nomination for “Best Original Music” in the GameSpot 2007 Special Achievement Awards and three nominations by the Game Audio Network Guild.
