A score supervisor works in the control room during a film and television music recording session, listening to the music as it's being recorded and making suggestions and comments to the conductor.
A score supervisor is often utilized by a composer when the composer chooses to conduct an orchestra in the recording room, and wants to get some quick feedback on how the recording sounds without having to go back into the control room and listen to a playback.
